RYDER – LDS Baptism Photos

Check out my adorable nephew Ryder’s baptism photos! Ryder recently turned 8 and was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His mom really wanted photos to display at his baptism and didn’t think I’d have time so figured it just wouldn’t happen. Well, I’m all about pictures and so my mom, Ryder and I decided to surprise his mom and take his photos at the Calgary LDS Temple while she was at work. Grandma had him looking super sharp in his blazer, and he rocked his photos. Ryder is such a little stud and did awesome despite the bitter cold. The best part was later in the day my sister called me in tears (happy tears) when she saw the gallery. I love when surprises make people happy like that!! And I love being able to document important memories for my family and for others.

TILLEMAN

My family and I had just moved to Edmonton for my hubby to start law school when we first met the Tilleman family. At that point, it was just Ryan and Susie, no kids. We would get together for dinners and games nights and they were awesome with our 3 munchkins. They made the transition to a new city much more bearable and thankfully we have stayed in touch over the years. Now they are a beautiful family of 6 and I was able to attend the birth of their little guy just a couple years ago. I feel wonderfully blessed to have amazing families like the Tillemans in my life.

We headed out to Edworthy Park for their family session. It had been sunny all day and as I made the trek over to the park the clouds started rolling in. Not only did the clouds come out, but the weather turned cold, FAST! These kids were so good and thankfully we got all we needed before it got too dark and we all got too cold. I love all those blondies!! Thanks for the fun night, Tilleman family!

GORDON FAMILY

Meet the wonderful Gordon family! I felt honored that they would make the long drive from Edmonton so that I could photograph their family. Thanks, you guys! We had a lot of fun and dad was making a lot of ridiculous faces to get the kids to smile. It’s not always easy to get natural smiles out of teenage boys (I know, I have one haha!) but dad had everyone in smiling. It was all behind my back, so I’m still a little nervous as to what was really going on, but regardless, it was worth it! Thanks for the wonderful morning, Gordon family! And if you’re wondering, yes, this is Confederation Park. I love this little spot. It’s so lovely.

I am ecstatic to see this photo of the Gordon family on a 30×40″ canvas that they’ve ordered!! I think this image was my favorite family shot from their session and turns out it was theirs too! Can’t wait to see it up on their wall. I absolutely LOVE it when not only do clients get their photos printed but go BIG! Print your photos people!! There’s something about seeing your family photos printed and not on a computer. Hang them on your walls. Print them and put them in an old school photo album. FAIRBANKS – Lifestyle Newborn Session

I’m not usually one to do newborn photos, but when one of my favorite clients says they’ve just had their 5th boy I couldn’t help myself and had to take them! We opted for a lifestyle newborn and family session in their beautiful home. The boys were wonderful and mom had everyone looking awesome. And I have to say, I never looked as good as she did after ANY of my babies. I’m so impressed, Jenny! It’s so fun to see the boys grow and see their ever blossoming personalities. I love this mom and her darling kids! I have been photographing them since Ryan, the oldest, was just a baby. I still remember accidently making her cry with my kids’ little puppet frog haha! Sorry Ryan 🙂 Brett and I met back in high school and it’s been such a pleasure to photograph her darling family over the years.
