I have had the privilege of photographing this awesome family for the past few years. It has been so fun to watch the kids grow. And it’s awesome that the kids know me a little better now and it’s not so overwhelming for them when I get up close and personal with the camera 😉 I love that mom always has the whole family looking awesome!
35 Years and counting!
ETHAN & JANIE
I have been privileged to be able to photograph the proposal, engagement and wedding of this adorable couple, and now their 1 year anniversary!! They are both wonderful people and I love them a lot 🙂 He also just so happens to be my baby brother!
We did their session up in Royal Oak bright and early in the morning. OK, maybe these were closer to noon haha, but mornings are probably one of my favorite times for photos. I used to run from any shoot that wasn’t during the “golden hour”, but the more familiar I got with shooting in different lighting, the more I started to fall in love with the light early in the day. And let’s talk about those fall colors for a second – how gorgeous are they!? I love fall. It is my favorite season of the year! The colors, the weather, even the smells. It’s simply perfect! Missing those colors today, but winter can be pretty too, right?
FRASER FAMILY
This is my baby sister, Katelyn, her hubby Sean, and their sweet girls, Thea and Millie. These little girls are adorable and oh so full of personality (as you’ll see below). Our families joke that Thea should have her own show. She is hilarious!!
For their session we made our way back to Edworthy Park and the lighting was perfect to shoot in the tunnel of trees. Thea thought the tunnel of trees was an enchanted forest and was hesitant to go in because of what she might find. She has such an amazing imagination, which made this the perfect spot for this little family as Thea thinks she’s a princess. No joke! She waits at the top of the stairs and her parents have to announce “presenting… Princess Thea of Calgary” before she will come down. She kills me!! And Millie? She wanted nothing to do with pictures (or her headband) and the second we tried to do her photos, she stopped, smiled, then walked out of the trees like she was on a stage – smile, exit stage right, and I’m outta here! haha
