TILLEMAN
My family and I had just moved to Edmonton for my hubby to start law school when we first met the Tilleman family. At that point, it was just Ryan and Susie, no kids. We would get together for dinners and games nights and they were awesome with our 3 munchkins. They made the transition to a new city much more bearable and thankfully we have stayed in touch over the years. Now they are a beautiful family of 6 and I was able to attend the birth of their little guy just a couple years ago. I feel wonderfully blessed to have amazing families like the Tillemans in my life.
We headed out to Edworthy Park for their family session. It had been sunny all day and as I made the trek over to the park the clouds started rolling in. Not only did the clouds come out, but the weather turned cold, FAST! These kids were so good and thankfully we got all we needed before it got too dark and we all got too cold. I love all those blondies!! Thanks for the fun night, Tilleman family!
GORDON FAMILY
Meet the wonderful Gordon family! I felt honored that they would make the long drive from Edmonton so that I could photograph their family. Thanks, you guys! We had a lot of fun and dad was making a lot of ridiculous faces to get the kids to smile. It’s not always easy to get natural smiles out of teenage boys (I know, I have one haha!) but dad had everyone in smiling. It was all behind my back, so I’m still a little nervous as to what was really going on, but regardless, it was worth it! Thanks for the wonderful morning, Gordon family! And if you’re wondering, yes, this is Confederation Park. I love this little spot. It’s so lovely.
I am ecstatic to see this photo of the Gordon family on a 30×40″ canvas that they’ve ordered!! I think this image was my favorite family shot from their session and turns out it was theirs too! Can’t wait to see it up on their wall. I absolutely LOVE it when not only do clients get their photos printed but go BIG! Print your photos people!! There’s something about seeing your family photos printed and not on a computer. Hang them on your walls. Print them and put them in an old school photo album. Make a coffee table album (which I’m more than happy to help you with!). JUST PRINT THEM! 🙂 If you’re interested in family photos shoot me an email, I’m now booking for spring 2017
KUTARNA
I have had the privilege of photographing this darling family for roughly the last 8 years when they had 3 small beautiful girls. I have photographed the birth of their last 2 kids and it’s been wonderful to capture the changes in their family. They now have 5 beautiful daughters and 1 handsome little man. Yup, that’s SIX kids!! And they were such well-behaved kids for their session too. I love photographing them and I truly can’t believe how much the kids change each and every year. Dad better watch out ’cause these kids are gorgeous!! We opted to shoot at Bowness Park for their session this year and it couldn’t have been more perfect!
JULIE + RYAN – Wedding
I am delighted to announce Ryan and Julie’s wedding!!! These two tied the knot at Cherry Creek Estate just outside of Kimberley, BC and it couldn’t have been more perfect!
Ryan and Julie met online and after a few years of dating, he attempted to propose on the top of Machu Pichu! I say attempted because of a series of events on the ever long trail he ended up waiting four days after their hike to Machu Pichu and proposed while the two were sitting in a hammock in Peru. How perfect does that sound?! You can read their proposal story here.
Julie and Ryan decided to do a first look before the ceremony started. I loved the look on his face when he first saw her! The two of them were just beaming!
The wedding was truly beautiful. The ceremony was lovely and they were surrounded by family and close friends. Julie looked stunning in her wedding gown and her bouquet and long veil (perfect for a windy day) were beautiful. What made things even more perfect was the fact that the fountain went off behind them right when they had their first kiss and husband and wife.
After the ceremony, we headed out for formal photos. The grounds were beautiful and the people at Cherry Creek Estate were wonderful and drove us around to get to different locations. There were so many beautiful options for photos at Cherry Creek! The Buggy Barn was awesome for the groomsmen! And, we even drove out to a place with the mountains in the background, which was perfect as Ryan and Julie really wanted the mountains in some of their wedding photos.
Their reception was also pretty wonderful and was held inside a beautifully decorated barn with details to represent the couples’ interests. The homemade jam favors were darling, and I loved that they had special coloring books and crayons for the kids (and a few of the adults too 🙂 )! The food was amazing and the slideshow and letter from Ryan’s grandpa back in Eastern Canada were awesome!! I even snuck this wonderful couple out mid-reception to grab a few photos with the horses!! Julie loves horses so this was a perfect end to a perfect day! Thanks for letting me share your special day with you, Ryan and Julie, and I wish you all the best!
